Our 2026 award season marks another major milestone. The New Brunswick Medical Education Foundation has officially surpassed 1,000 scholarships awarded since 2010, meaning more than 1,000 years of service has been secured for our patients and communities!
This fall, we're awarding more than 190 return-to-service scholarships to future physicians and allied health professionals.
This amounts to $1.57 million in tuition relief in 2026 alone.
Each of these students has pledged to practice in New Brunswick once qualified, bringing us closer to ensuring primary care access for every New Brunswicker.
To the donors, sponsors, partners and friends and visionary founders of the New Brunswick Medical Education Foundation, thank you for making this work possible!

Celebrating Our Recipients
All New Brunswickers need care, and provincial representation is a key focus for our organization. Our 2026 recipients represent more than 55 hometowns across the province, and 40% of medical students are enrolled in French-language programs.
For more information about our recipients:
A full list of this year’s recipients is available on our website.
You can also view our annual e-book of student biographies here.
Recipients and scholarship donors will be invited to attend our Annual Scholarship Gala, which will be broadcast live to our YouTube and Facebook channels on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. Thank you to our incredible sponsors who make this event possible!

Help Us Close The Gap
This year, we were able to support 82% of qualified medical students through our scholarship program. Our goal is to close the gap and provide scholarships to every future physician willing to commit to this province.
Here’s how you can make a difference:
Make a donation or support a scholarship to bring us closer.
Try our JavaMoose Doctors For N.B. coffee – proceeds support the Foundation.
Attend or sponsor foundation events or share our story to help raise awareness.
This model benefits us all – students, donors, and communities.
By investing in healthcare’s future, we relieve financial pressures on our students and ensure a strong pipeline of talent to care for our families, friends, and neighbours.
