Today, students face an immense financial burden, rising tuition costs and living expenses. Through the generous support of donors, The New Brunswick Medical Education Foundation can ease the strain through the provision of medical education scholarships.
Most New Brunswick Medical Education Foundation scholarships are tied to a return-to-service agreement. Generally, we ask recipients of these awards to commit to practice in New Brunswick following graduation for a period of 1 year per each award given. Recipients will be asked to sign a pledge to this effect before funds are distributed.

Thank you for your interest in a New Brunswick Medical Education Foundation scholarship! Please read the following information carefully.

Eligible students may apply between March 1 at 12:00 AM and May 31 at 11:59 PM of each year. Students may apply in either French or English.

All applications submitted within the above-mentioned application cycle will be considered. Scholarship recipients will be selected by the foundation's Grants Committee in accordance with the rules and regulations of that committee.

A completed application must include 1) a completed online application form and 2) the submission of four key documents:

Transcript from your most recent year of study

Confirmation of enrollment

Some of our scholarships are tailored to specific demographic groups, regions, demonstrated financial need, research experience or interests. Please review our list of available awards for additional information.

Our scholarships support tuition expenses only.

Students who have received a renewable scholarship in prior years must reapply each year to receive the award again. Applications are not carried over from one year to the next.
